I welcome foreign entrepreneurs visiting the San Francisco Bay Area/Silicon Valley on an almost daily basis. Many of these visitors are from Latin America and have heard of me through friends, common acquaintances, or virtual networks.
Fortunately, my current position as Managing Partner of Sausalito Ventures as my prior one at the University of San Francisco endows me with a platform to welcome these visitors and engage in conversations that aren’t much different from those I would have with my students. These exchanges provide the intellectual stimulus for me to think aloud, test ideas, reflect upon and organize what I have experienced in my global professional career and personal journey. Their energy is contagious and I often learn as much from them as they learn from me.
So dear reader, I’ve decided to write this blog as a way to capture the essence of these conversations and reach a wider audience. My hope is to share different perspectives, and in the process gain new friends.
