I welcome foreign entrepreneurs visiting the San Francisco Bay Area/Silicon Valley on an almost daily basis. Many of these visitors are from Latin America and have heard my name through other entrepreneurs, former or current students, business associates, acquaintances, or virtual networks.
Fortunately, my current position as General Partner of Alaya Capital Partners, Managing Partner of Sausalito Ventures and Professor of Global Innovation and Entrepreneurship endows me with a platform to welcome them and share some fresh or thought provoking perspective. These exchanges provides me the intellectual stimulus to think aloud, test ideas, reflect upon and organize what I have experienced in my global professional career and personal journey. Their energy is contagious and I often learn as much from them as they learn from me.
So dear reader, I’ve decided to write this blog as a way to capture the essence of these conversations and reach a wider audience. My hope is to share different perspectives, and in the process gain new friends.
